best wishes to two of the very best gals I know

My two best friends from high school are each beginning new and exciting chapters of their lives in the next two weeks. Jaclyn is getting married tomorrow and in two weeks Kaylie is leaving to serve as a missionary in Germany! I'm so unbelievably proud of these beautiful women and all that they are becoming. I guess I naively thought it would just be the three of us goofing off forever, but our lives have each turned different ways. (Probably my fault for getting married so quickly... ha).  Mostly I'm so grateful for the wonderful memories we have together and for all they each taught me. So glad I had such wonderful friends through those tuff high school years who knew and understood me. Congrats to Jaclyn tomorrow and good luck to Kaylie! Can't wait to have the three of us together again someday :)

dark hair and chubs?

Man oh man am I missing my husband. I watched the video my dad put together for our wedding of all our baby pictures, mostly just to look at my cute husband because I miss him.  But I found myself daydreaming about what this little boy will look like. I'm kind of hoping for a head of dark hair from Jeremy and my chubby baby rolls.  Regardless, we're quite thrilled with the way Madeline turned out so I'm sure we'll love little boy no matter how he looks. Even if he's skinny and blonde ;)

missing daddy

Jeremy had to go back to Baltimore yesterday... and boy do we miss him! Madeline has asked for "da da" multiple times in the past day and I just constantly feel like I'm missing something (probably because I am!). We got to skype him today after church, though. Madeline was SO EXCITED to see him! She had the biggest grins bouncing off her face and very enthusiastic "HI"s.  Jeremy was sweet to read her a bunch of her favorite stories that are still at home. She loved that. "more book" she kept saying.

How grateful I am that life isn't always like this. I only started feeling a twinge of homesickness yesterday when Jeremy let me know he was home. Before then I was convinced I wanted to move back to Spokane and enjoy the fabulous weather and being near family. We love our families and we are loving all this time with them, but home really is where the heart is, and right now my heart is in Baltimore.

Creed & Heidi Family Pictures

What a busy couple of weeks it's been! We've been enjoying every minute with our wonderful families. But I wanted to take just a second to share some family pictures my dad and I took for my aunt & uncle a few weeks ago. Aren't they GREAT!? I really love how they turned out. Colorado you've stolen my heart!  Can't wait to share a few more pictures from another family :)
